Halff’s Brian Downing Honored With ESGR Patriot Award

Halff Water Resources Team Leader Brian Downing has been recognized with the Patriot Award from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

This award recognizes Brian’s support of Halff Graduate Engineer Michael Carty as he serves as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Both Brian and Michael are based in Halff’s Fort Worth offices.

Brian, who has been with Halff for 12 years, has worked with the firm since graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington. Michael, also a UT Arlington graduate, began working with the firm in 2023.

“Brian has been an exceptional team leader throughout my career at Halff as an engineer while being a Marine Corps reservist at NAS JRB Fort Worth,“ Michael said. “As I was going to UTA and attending reserve duty, he worked with my schedule even when there were last minute updates and made me aware of military leave benefits during periods of extended training. As a reservist who has worked under multiple employers, these positive experiences mean a lot to me and other reservists that I have worked with.”
